Mortorq® External Sockets

Mortorq® External Sockets are a part of the Mortorq® Spiral Drive System and are used to drive male Mortorq® headed screws and bolts used in both aviation and automotive applications, which include:

BOEING 787
LOCKHEED MARTIN C-5
ROLLS-ROYCE TRENT 1 000
ROLLS-ROYCE TRENT XWB
NORTHROP GRUMMAN B-2
USAF ALQ-188
LOCKHEED MARTIN F-16
METEOR MISSILE

The system and use of the Mortorq® External Sockets provide the highest torque combined with their lightweight design that provides clearance in a range of uses and capability optimisation for each. In addition, the design offers an overall weight reduction for driving male-headed bolts and screws to provide structures with the highest security with every use. Tight clearance is built-in, and when combined with increased torque, the lower height increases performance over alternative socket and drive systems. Solid head to socket mating delivers optimal torque transmission and clamp load without damaging the fastener, tool, or surrounding areas. This design optimisation ensures that MORTORQ® sockets can remove damaged fasteners without drilling out.

Features and Benefits of Mortorq® External Sockets

High Strength Shallow Recess
To work in all areas, with its low-profile head design.

Elevated Damage Tolerance
The system can remove corroded or damaged fastenings, eliminating the need for drill outs and additional tools.

Larger Drive to Clearance
This feature enables off-angle driving of fasteners while also accommodating any paint build up and other impairments.

Phillips Screw Company quality inspections
PSC backs its range and ensures every system globally adheres to the same quality standards and is universally compatible.
